Meet the team \ Dr Carmen Miles
Deputy Head and Strategic Lead for Digital Education
Carmen has extensive experience in leadership of learning and teaching enhancement at institutional level and expertise in developing and leading accessible online and blended learning experiences within higher education. As the Deputy Head of the Ð԰ɵç̨ Education Academy, and Strategic Lead for Digital Education, she recently led the successful implementation of 'Learning Zone', the new VLE for Ð԰ɵç̨.
In addition, Carmen is acknowledged as a sector leader in the development of innovative, high-quality online learning programmes which she has led for several UK and global universities. Carmen is a highly reputable senior leader with extensive experience leading: monitoring the student experience, overseeing interventions and strategies to enhance teaching quality for on-campus, online and blended students at an institutional level.
With established networks across the UK and Global HE digital education sector, Carmen is passionate about collaborative working, and supporting others to develop their digital teaching practices as evidenced in her Doctorate in Education, focusing on the development of teaching practices within learning communities.
