Personal Profile

Dionne is the programme lead for the Postgraduate Certificate in Empowering Education. She worked at the University of Birmingham from 2018 – 2024, as a Principal Educational Developer she provided support for staff teaching and/or supporting learning to deliver effective and innovative teaching. She had a key role in the University’s portfolio of academic development opportunities including the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education, Beacon HEA scheme and Personal Tutoring. She was the programme lead for the Beacon HEA professional recognition scheme and the lead for Personal Academic Tutoring. She was also the lead for award and recognition, the institution’s Teaching Excellence Award Lead (TEAL) for Advance HE and the institutional lead for She led on raising the profile of education at the university and supported staff to develop their expertise in Personal Tutoring. She is an External Examiner for the University of Wolverhampton’s HEA Fellowship Scheme.
